I play the game Tacticool as with username www.may69.com. I’m in the FAM clan. Now, in my opinion, we lose a lot of “Capture the Bag” games we could win. But 3 things have to change in FAM for this to happen… I dont even know why I’m writing this because none of them are going to change. And why should I care about a video game? Doesnt someone born May 11, 1969 more to do with mytheir life than to keep saying “OK 1 more game” 1 hour after I last said that?!
But anyway, here is what we need to be a competitive clan in Capture the Bag
COVER
In capture the bag, the bottom of the screen says “Cover the bag holder” when we have the bag. What that means is if you have a sniper rifle, you stand a good distance away from the bag holder so that both you and the bag holder dont get taken out by an incoming attack.
I’ll be the first to admit that sometimes I try to spawn-kill: instead of getting back to cover the bag holder, I will be an invisible Charon trying to head them off as they spawn… and before I know it, we’ve lost the bag and I cant get to the thief in time and we lose.
And of course we need to setup our mines, turrets to cover the bag holder…
COMMUNICATION
If we dont have live real time communication we are screwed. I did have live communication with Jupiter once and every 5 seconds all I heard was “ah, fuck”, “ah, fuck”… that’s not the type of communication I’m looking for… the main thing we need to do is communicate of how they are setup and how we counter it… which leads to the last point…
COORDINATION
How many times have you tried to go charging into 5 people waiting for you and pull off a hero sequence? You know, stab one, bomb another, shoot the bag holder and haul ass.. only to be taken out by the 2 people you didnt get. That’s what happens most of the time when 1 person tries to beat 5. Sure if the bag holder goes astray of his protection, go for it. But otherwise we need a coordinated attack: perhaps 4 people 1 way and a Moses on adrenaline charging in on a flank would be a good idea.
And another good idea is to send 1 person ahead to get blown up by mines.
So there you have it.
I’ve just spent 15 minutes of my life talking about woulda-coulda-shoulda that will never happen. And you know what? At the end of the day, I still got my adrenaline rush and I got all my mission bonuses for being in an active clan. No need to take this seriously at all… just have some fun, lose more than you win and call it a day.
