What I’m trying to do:
Estimate the reliability of skulpt as the basis for Anvil
What I’ve tried and what’s not working:
I maintain the pure python web application survey guide and currently have Anvil rated as a Class A framework, meaning that it is industrial strength, well-maintained, well-documented with good support channels.
My concern with Anvil is more with the fact that Skulpt is what it is built on, yet skulpt is showing some serious concerns:
- the manual says that skulpt compiles Python 2.6 which would be woefully out of date
- There are 26 open pull requests with little or no response from the author
- The questions in the discussion group have no responses.
- There are 215 open issues which are showing little or no resolution.
MAJOR UPDATE
I just posted my concerns to the Anvil group and within days was completely satisfied with the response from the Anvil team about Skulpt underlying it.
